Charity work
St Mary's prides itself on the charity work it does both nationally and locally to support groups and communities around the world. We have put together a selection of work we do as a school.
Children in Need 2023
This year we decided to raise money buy selling the children in need merchandise or children could come into school with something that had already bought and bring a donation. We raised £320!
Harvest Donations to the Bristol and South Glos Food Banks
We donated a massive 155.8kgs of goods to the food bank this year! It was amazing that so many gave to the food bank, despite our own struggles and cost of living crisis.
A real sense of community and understanding that even if we can only give a little, it all builds into something much bigger.

Harvest Festival
Harvest Food Donation
Thank you to all of you who donated many items at Harvest this year. We took them to the Church as part of our Harvest Festival and laid them around the alter. After the Sunday Harvest Service, these donations were collected by The Sisters of the Church to give out to the needy in Bristol. Thank you so much for helping us support and care for others.
Macmillan Coffee and Cake Fundraiser
Macmillan Fund Raiser
Mrs Heyes, organised a cake sale after school to help raise money for Macmillan. Not only did she organise it, but she baked and baked and baked! Thank you to Mrs Heyes and all the parents who also baked and to those who bought cakes for this fund raiser. Some donations for cakes were extremely generous.
Next year, we hope to make it a picnic where parents and children can stay and play!
