John 15:11
On behalf of the staff and children of Year Three, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to our class page.
As a class we have a lot to learn and fun to have and we are looking forward to this Spring term.
All of us individually are special, but together we make a wonderful flock ... a team ... a community ... a family!
The section below on our page will be used to provide a summary of Year 3's journey throughout the year. It will also be used to share some information.
As always, the door to our classroom is always open… 'We're all working together; that the secret'

If you have any questions please use the class email: SMT-Year3@sgmail.org.uk or feel free to talk to me at the end of the day

Please remove earrings at home in the morning before school and ensure that long hair is tied back (or a hair tie is sent in). There has been a large increase in the number of children covering their ears with tape and this should only be done in the first 6 weeks after being pierced. Following this children should be removing earrings for PE.

Our Learning Journey This section of our class page will be used to provide you with an insight into our classroom and learning adventures. |
Our Spring Adventures
Our trip to Bristol Museum
We started off our summer Discovery topic with a visit to Bristol Museum to experience an Ancient Egypt workshop where we learnt about the Victorian explorer Amelia Edwards. We also spent time looking at the Egyptian exhibition. We had a great time and are looking forward to learning more in lessons.
World Book Day
We enjoyed dressing up for World Book Day and sharing our outfits and book choices with each other. This week we also wrote the opening to a KS2 shared story.
Science
In Science we completed an investigation to find out whether different surfaces affected how things moved across them.
Our Autumn Term 1 Adventures
Today we dressed up as our heroes.
Remember 'Not all heroes wear capes'.
