Author of the Year: Kes Gray

Our author of the year in Penguin class is Kes Gray.  We have selected him as his books are fun and entertaining.  We particularly love the Oi! books as they develop the children's knowledge of rhyme. Some of his books link with nursery rhymes, building on the children's learning in Robins, whilst others address families and friendships, helping the children to explore feelings they may be having in real life.

We also love that his books help us to explore our school values and inspire children to do their best.  

At some point in the year the children will bring home a story sack with one of his books (Quick Quack Quentin) and some activities to have a go at.
