Homework
Why do we set home learning tasks?
Home learning is provided each week to support or consolidate learning in class. It allows all children to use and apply their new skills within a different context. Furthermore, talking about an activity/learning task with someone new helps children to understand the work on a new and deeper level.
Home Learning Expectations:
Homework is uploaded to Seesaw every Friday.
Each home learning task in EYFS will have a focus which can be completed through a range of ways. We hope this allows the learning to be open and not limited. Suggestions will be given about how the task could be completed at home.
The focus for Term 1 and 2 will be looking at writing and reading phase 2 and 3 sounds. There will also be chances for the the children to extend mathematical thinking at home throughout the first 2 terms.
Please return homework by uploading picture, video, comment to Seesaw by Tuesday. Miss Nation will look at home learning, comment and suggestions for next steps.
Thank you

Blended Learning Statement
Despite the many precautions and guidance in place, there will come a time where individuals, classes or even the whole school must be shut for health reasons following advice from Public Health England. At this stage, we must ensure that we have a strong learning provision for pupils unable to attend school due to COVID related illness or isolation. The learning provision is made up of a combination of work packs, online learning, online resources and engagement activities. In most cases, the rest of the class or the rest of the school will still be in school learning face to face, so this is why it is called 'blended learning' as it will be an educational provision which is a mix of face to face, online, at home and in school.
